Cape Hatteras Lighthouse will be open for a special holiday tour for one weekend only. Join us for a FREE winter climb of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Climbing the lighthouse is a unique experience, but a bit strenuous … equivalent to climbing a 12-story building … but it is worth the effort and the 360 degree view is nothing short of spectacular. After all, it is the nation’s tallest lighthouse and the tallest brick lighthouse in North America. That will certainly boost your bragging rights when you’ve completed your climbing adventure!
Children must be at least 42″ tall to climb the lighthouse and those under 12 must be escorted by a person at least 16 years old. Not too many folks even know about this special event, because the facility is typically closed this time of year as noted on the park website, so only tell your very best friends!
